Prince Harry at the Royal Wedding

The Philippines has never been a colony of Britain nor a member of the Commonwealth of Nations. Yet yesterday, almost all major TV channels in the Philippines have a live telecast of the Royal Wedding, between Prince William of Wales and Kate Middleton.

I wanted to blog about the royal wedding too, but since a lot of blogs already posted pictures of the newly weds, I wanted to focus on the Best Man. The more charming Prince Harry. Well, I’m a fan of Prince Harry and I would definitely watch his wedding! So, here are the pictures of my prince, at yesterdays Wedding of the Decade and other recent pictures.

Sexy Characters from Disney

I’m a big fan of Disney. The last film I watched from Disney was “Tangled” and it’s a good movie.

I stumbled upon David Kawena of Deviant Art. He has a very sexy rendition of Disney characters that we’re familiar with. This is my 2nd attempt to create a slideshow presentation using Picasa’s Movie Maker.

Here are the characters that appeared in the video:

Dr. Joshua Sweet (“Atlantis: The Lost Empire”)
Peter Pan
Prince Eric ("The Little Mermaid")
Emperor Kuzco (“The Emperor’s New Groove”)
Aladdin
Hercules
Jim Hawkins ("Treasure Planet")
Prince Phillip ("Sleeping Beauty")
John Smith (“Pocahontas”)
Prince Naveen ("The Princess and the Frog")
Peter and Caspian (“The Chronicles of Narnia”)
Will Turner ("Pirates Of The Caribbean")
Phoebus ("The Hunchback Of Notre Dame")
Kocoum ("Pocahontas")
Prince Adam (“Beauty and the Beast”)
Tarzan
Captain Li Shang ("Mulan")
Sitka ("Brother Bear")
David ("Lilo & Stitch")
Flynn Rider (“Tangled”)
Milo James Thatch ("Atlantis: The Lost Empire")
Thomas (“Pocahontas”)
John Henry ("John Henry")

Gorgeous Guy in Red

I am testing this feature in Picasa 3 called Movie Maker. I want to learn how to add slideshows in Blogger.

It seems that Markki Stroem is a willing guinea pig in testing this feature. Markki Stroem is as gorgeous as ever, specially in this red shirt. Photo credit goes to Cosmopolitan Philippines.

So after making the slideshow using Picasa’s Movie Maker, I uploaded it from my computer and it was automatically uploaded to YouTube. The music that I integrated into the video doesn’t sound so good. It’s probably because I’m doing a lot with my computer while Picasa is doing the video. Anyway, I’ll definitely improve in the next slideshows that I’ll make.

New Tumbler

There are two things that identify a certified callboy (call center agent) – the ID with lace (usually with the account name) and the tumbler. Tumblers are essential part of being a callboy since we get thirsty and get sleepy during our 8-hour shift.

I used to have a regular-sized tumbler but I already replaced it with a larger tumbler to minimize my visit to the pantry. I purchased this tumbler way back in March but it’s only now that I thought about blogging it. This tumbler cost me P700.00+

Thank God our pantry has coffee most of the time, with creamer. It’s one of the small things that makes working in a call center a good thing: instant coffee. Ang babaw noh?

What’s Up with Carl Guevarra?

I’m missing Carl Guevarra. I’ve been searching the net for his latest pictorials and projects to no avail. The last news I got about him from iGMA is with the show “Jejemom”. No latest photo shoots from Bench?

If you happen to know the latest about Carl Guevarra, please share it with me. Send me some of his latest pictures (that are not in the following gallery). I would greatly appreciate it.

I’m limiting the celebrities featured in our blog, and I can’t help but wonder how he is doing these days. I’m a big fan of both Carl Guevarra and Markki Stroem! Shall I rename this blog as “Elmer Loves Carl & Markki”?

Toughest Place to be a Bus Driver

My friend and classmate (from elementary until high school) shared this fascinating video on Facebook. It’s amazing! It portrays the actual state of transportation in this part of the world. I love documentaries. It gives me an idea on how other nationalities (in this case, a British) view us, Filipinos, as a nation, with different culture.

True!

The video centers around the life of a Filipino Jeepney driver and it shows every facet of his life. It documents his life from sunrise to sunset. The British was brave enough to experience the toughest place to be a driver.

I love BBC more. I hope they’ll feature the Philippines more so that my Czech friend would see what it’s like to be a Filipino living in the Philippines. It’s hard but we’re also among the world’s happiest people.

Small Town with a Big Heart!

That’s the motto of Pateros: “Small Town with a Big Heart!”. Indeed, Pateros is a small town, the smallest in fact of all the cities and municipalities that made up Metro Manila.

Whenever I hear the town of Pateros, three things comes to my mind: “balot”, “penoy” and “alfombra”. Balot is a fertilized duck (or chicken) egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled alive and eaten in the shell. Penoy on the other hand, doesn’t have the fertilized duck in it. Alfombra is a type of sandals, used mostly indoors.

Yesterday, I visited this small town and took some pictures of their Poblacion (the town proper). I love their church, the San Roque Parish because of it’s cozy atmosphere. I love the streets, clean and not so crowded with tricycles.

I can say that the town is really small, but with a big heart. Click here to know about the history of the town.
