YouTuber Luke Korns

Two weeks ago during the transition from one account to another, I discovered YouTuber Luke Korns. He’s originally from Wisconsin USA but now stays at Los Angeles, California. I have so much idle time at the office the past two weeks that I was able to watch all his videos (except the ones in Spanish). He has over a hundred videos.

I don’t usually follow a YouTuber and there are a couple ones I followed including The Adventures of Zach and B, Husband & Husband and Matt & Blue. I never watched all the videos of this favorite YouTuber of mine but when it comes to Luke Korns, man, I was able to watch all his videos. It’s a first for me.

What made me drew to Luke Korns is his gorgeous green-blue eyes, his flawless skin and amazing hair. After watching all his videos, I can definitely say he’s honest, smart, articulate, talented, intelligent, and funny. He is definitely on his way to become a great movie maker.
I like his travel videos the most. He’s quite a smart, efficient and (his words) spontaneous traveler. The first video I’ve ever watch of him is his travel to Boise, Idaho. He threw a dart randomly on a US map and promised to visit where the dart landed. It landed to the potato capital of the USA.

His travel videos are not your usual travel guides. He has his own route that is very different to most tourist travel guides. Plus, he always make it a point to take a dip in a body of water – a lake, river, spring. He already travelled to Norway, Iraq, Lebanon, and even stayed in Lima, Peru for a year.

Other videos I like are his product reviews – like an electronic toothbrush or a dietary lollipop. He even had a video wherein he tried height-enhancing shoes. He’s a bit insecure about his 5’6” height – as well as his “butt” nose and the fact that he looks very young at his age. He has a video wherein he is often mistaken for a 13 year old guy even though he’s already 19 years old.

He’s all over social media so you might as well try to watch his videos to be inspired by his wit and charm.

Blog Banner

I miss the old blog banner that use to be on the very top spot of this blog. Since I changed the theme of the blog when it turned 1 year, I lost the banner. I saw it again today and thought of posting it since Oreo and I are lovers again.

I used my Aunt’s pictures of Palawan in these banners. Here are some of her pictures of Palawan. I’m posing it here to remind myself to travel to this destination (with Oreo) and be inspired on how beautiful the Philippines is.

Antipolo Church

Last Sunday, after I visited the Cainta Church, I went straight to the Antipolo Church. It’s also known as the Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.

According to Wikipedia, the image of "Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage" has been venerated in the church of Antipolo for centuries. The old church that housed the virgin was destroyed in February 1945 when the Americans bombed Antipolo as part of the liberation campaign of Manila. In 1954 a new church was built designed by the renowned Filipino architect Jose de Ocampo. This church is of a copular design centered around the image of the Virgin. It functions as the center point of the pilgrimages to Antipolo.

Since the church is circular, it’s a bit small for the large number of parishioners so a large number are outside the church. The sound system that the church use is very good since you can understand every word of the priest even if you’re outside the church.

I love the mosaic glass of Our Lady of Antipolo.

Our Lady of Light Parish Church

I went to two different churches yesterday. The first is Our Lady of Light Parish Church (Poblacion, Cainta, Rizal) and the other one was at the Antipolo Church (Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage). It’s my first time to visit the Cainta Church and my second time to visit the Antipolo Church.

I don’t know much about this church so let me paste here what’s written in Wikipedia: The Parish of Our Lady of Light in Cainta stands as one of the oldest churches in the Province of Rizal. It is located along A. Bonifacio Avenue in the Town Proper of Cainta it is near the famed jeepney stop Parola, and is very accessible through the jeeps that come from Cubao, Pasig, Tanay, Taytay, Binangonan and Eastern Rizal. The present parish priest, installed in 2006 is Rev. Msgr. Arnel Lagarejos, STh.D, with Rev. Fr. Virgilio Lachica as parochial vicar.

It was raining hard at Cainta when I was there.
